Gary Graham

Gary Graham

For nearly 40 years Gary Graham has played an integral role in the development of the musical, cultural and artistic life on the West Coast and across the province. He has inspired and taught thousands of students, guided numerous choirs to achieve national recognition, and has served as a dedicated church organist and choirmaster.

Gary has worked with literally thousands of young people – in his capacity as classroom music teacher, private music instructor, church organist, accompanist and choirmaster for church, school and community choirs.

Gary understands the needs of those he works with, and inspires and guides them to achieve their individual goals.

For more than 25 years he has directed Theatre Newfoundland Labrador’s community musical. And currently, in addition to all his other activities, he sits on the board of the chamber music festival Gros Morne Summer Music.

In 2004 Gary received the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador for his contribution to the musical, cultural, and artistic life of the province’s West Coast.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council is proud to induct Gary Graham into the Hall of Honour.
